Hello,
Do they make firewire cards for laptop PCMCIA slots? If so what brand wouold you recommend, and where is the best place to purchase them? Ed Frank

Yes they do. You can get ones that have an external power supply. In my Dell
8200 I use that type to power my ipod. Otherwise the ipod uses battery power.
