Apple charged with tax-evasion in China

This is the fourth country they've done this in. http://www.techtimes.com/articles/83...ax-evasion.htm The article does not cite the government accusing Apple of tax evasion. Large corporations worldwide end up having to correct their taxes following audits where interpretation of tax codes make the difference. Indeed whatever team is auditing can make a huge difference in the outcome. As to the amount, it is rounding error where Apple's Chinese operations are concerned. Could you stay on fricking topic and let go of your endless war against Apple. At least take it where it belongs. Which isn't here. |

Apple charged with tax-evasion in China
Per Alan Browne:
Large corporations worldwide end up having to correct their taxes following audits where interpretation of tax codes make the difference. A close family member was a senior financial executive at several large USA corporations. He used to say that if they did not get contested by government auditors, that meant that they had not sufficiently pushed the envelope.... I guess the calculation was money spent haggling with auditors vs money saved by paying less in taxes. -- Pete Cresswell |

I used to meet accountants who bragged that their clients were never audited. They obviously never heard of invalid regulations. -- PeterN |
