Aside: Are you the same D. Qualls who's an expert in RPG, etc?
If you are, have you ever heard of Runequest, Chaosium, etc?

Well, I don't know about "expert" but yes, I've heard of an played (a
little) the Chaosium, i.e. original version of Runequest, [...]

Would you believe I have a copy of the very first version of Red Bear White
Moon where the parts were done on a mimeograph machine and typewriter and
shaped with scissors? (PS: The founder of Chaosium, Greg Stafford, is
my brother.)

Good heavens... I think I've seen Red Bear, White Moon (somewhere),
when I had just started playing D&D back in 1977.

And I'm honored to meet a close relative of one of the great game
designers! At one time, I considered pursuing game design, until I
found out how few people in the world manage to make a living at it
(hint: you could probably get them all in a single party at Denny's
without trying the help's patience for pushing tables together).

That said, however, what made you think I was an expert? I know a
little about a lot of things, but I'm seldom called an expert at
anything I'm not currently making a living from.

Opinions expressed are my own -- take them for what they're worth
and don't expect them to be perfect.
