Sort of like Hannibal Lechter's closing comment
in "Silence of the Lambs," to wit, "I'm having
an old friend for dinner." Truly, one of the
most disturbing films I've ever seen.

Never saw it. I did however watch its precursor
Manhunter with ---William L. Petersen = "Gil Grissum"

Funny how actors get typecast into similar roles.

I guess the same happens to photographers -keeping this
photo related. It seems like the most successful photographers
business wise are specialists.

Photographers in small markets sometimes need to be many things to many
clients, in order to stay busy. In larger cities, or for those doing
advertising work, presenting many directions in your photography can
appear like a lack of focus (emphasis). Specialization can help images
stand out, but there is still often a need to reinvent your style to
keep it relevant to the current market. Definitely not easy choices to make.
