I just checked back a year or so and you haven't missed but one of Bret's posts. I got an idea for you if you need a holiday. I've loaded all your comments into a MYSQL database and analysed them. Wow! I can save you a heap of effort here girl. It'll take about 10 or 20 minutes work. I can run up a PHP form handler so you only have to type in a key word or two and query the database for your most likely comment and use a mail2new gateway to Email your comment to an news server. I might even be able to organize a NNTP post from it if I organize a paid account with one of them. Think about the possibilities. If I do one for myself... Instead of typing line after line of the same dreary stuff, I can automatically reply to the trolls. With a small bit of code I haven't yet figured out, I could use different user names and sigs in the replies to. If you're interested, as soon as I get it running, I'll send you a link. All you need to do is come up with some really fanciful replies and I'll just load the database with them and you're off. I'll try a few out later in the week and see how they go, OK? Doug |

Doug Careful Douglas. Sounds to me like you're doing something you have been campaigning against: stalking. For quite some time I've had that feeling. I should have seen it coming when I got a rather cryptic email from one of your bogus email addresses months ago. My comments are indeed limited to how they make me feel, but as I speak I am learning to critique on technical merit as well. You see, I've learned to take critique as a way to improve myself. Do you? Helen |
