Where do I find 35mm talk?

I went to the 35mm photo newsgroup and found everybody is talking about
Bush. If I go to a political newsgroup, will they be talking about cameras?
If I go to a sex newsgroup will they be talking about Jesus and his coming
return? What about if I go to a Christian newsgroup, will I see dirty
pictures? How do you work these newsgroups anyway? Ric.

You might start by posting something on topic instead of adding to the
useless drivel.

this place is going to the dogs... just like the music groups...

It seems the political posts have picked up in all the newsgroups
lately.

It isn't the name of the newsgroup that is important, its whether its
moderated or not.....If it isn't moderated, they will be talking about
whatever happens to be in the news, or whatever is controversial. If you
want to stick to the subject, then either find a moderated group, or set
your browser to skip, delete, or kill file all the subjects you don't like,
or just delete them yourself.....

maybe you'll wish you had paid a little attention to the politics......

Try a moderated forum dedicated to traditional photography...like

You will find that a group of people gathered together around a common
interest sometimes talk about their other interests. As a general rule,
political discussions come and go, usually near election times.
If you truly find it distressing, a moderated forum such as was suggested
may be the way to go.

Consider yourself lucky that they are currently discussing politics;
otherwise many of these characters would be chanting "Digital roolz!"
and "Film is dead!"
