F80 and film winding
Hi all,
I have an F80 and wondered, if you want to change film at midroll, is it posible? The camera has to leave a lead so that you can reload the film. Otherwise I've seen some devices that pull the lead out. Has anybody done this? Thanks Dimitris |

If you take the body to a repair center, they can adjust the rewind
setting to always leave the leader out. Otherwise buy one of those retrieval tools. Dps wrote: I have an F80 and wondered, if you want to change film at midroll, is it posible? |

I keep a CD/OHP pen in my bag to write the number of the frame I got up to on the leader, and then when I reload the film I put the lens cap on, and set f(big) and 1/4000 and fire off one more than that, just to be safe. You might want to let the lab know, since they might not be paying attention, and if the frames don't line up properly some idiot may cut the negative right through one. |

Thanks a lot guys, I'll give it a try. So, I need a pen, a lead retrieval
tool and put on the lens cap (probably the viewfinder cover also) to shoot the number of exposed frames again (somewhere dark anyway). I'll give it a try this weekend, thanks a lot!!!!! |

Its easy if you have the tool. In this case it is a computer interface
and software. They connect up the camera to computer which runs a program they use to make adjustments. I have read that the camera interface is the film bar code reader. Maybe someone with more knowledge than I on this topic can add what they know. Dps wrote: "columbotrek" wrote in message ...
