Sick of cyan-blue skies
"RichA" wrote in message ... I don't know what planet some people think we live on, or maybe it's that some people have a restricted range of colour vision, but Earth skies are NOT cyan, they are blue and should look blue in pictures. As far as I know, there is no green component in the oxygen-scattering of blue light in the atmosphere. It can have a nasty green tinge when air quality is low - I noticed this in London on a particularly poor air quality day. In the tropics as the sun sets there is a green flash see: - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_flash For some reason San Francisco features strongly in this article - perhaps the influence of "sunshine"... |
