Default What is the difference between PB-E2 and PB-E1 for an EOS 3

Here is some info I got regarding the difference:

the PB-E2 has controls for FE lock/Multi spot metering, a main dial
and a focus point selector, the PB-E1 does not have these. One can
also use AA lithiums in the E2 with the 1N, 1V and and 3. AA lithiums
can only be used in the newer version of the E1 with the 1N, 1V and 3.

I know with a PB-E2, EOS 3 can get 7 frames per second.. and heard
conflicting result with PB-E1, which is 5-6 frmes per second. Is
PB-E1 actually a power winder as well like PB-E2? Or just a Battery
Pack? Somewhat confused..

Thanks!
