Default F-100 Shooting Data

I'd like to try and get this data from my camera, but, there is no printed
info in the manual or the magic lantern guide.

Is the data piling up in my F-100 or do I need to buy a data back?

Should I use a 9 or 25 pin cable(PC with Win98)?

Also, is there any decent alternative software available besides Photo
Sectretary?

Thanks,

Steve

there is no published documentation from nikon how these data is stored

I do not know exactly for teh F100. For both my F90X and F5, the data are
stored in the camera. For the F90X, no date/time information are recorded.
The F5 only can record date/time information when a databack is attached to
the camera.

Should I use a 9 or 25 pin cable(PC with Win98)?

I don't understand your question. This depends on you PC connector. In the
past, Nikon sells a MC-31 (25 pin) and MC-33 (9 pin) cable which both can be
used with F100 camera and Photo Secretary II software. But it will be hard
to find those cable, as far as I know Nikon does not offer them any more.

There is a second source for these cable: whatch for eBay item 3840941273

Also, is there any decent alternative software available besides Photo
