Default Ping Mark III Users - Auto-Focus

Rob Galbraith has again updated his article (June 21st) regarding the
Mark III auto-focus problems. I have one of these bodies on order and
I'm starting to get skittish about taking delivery. I'd like to know
if people who are using the Mark III agree with Rob's assessment. He
claims to have recieved over 200 emails from people experiencing the
same problems. I'm not sure what to do about my order. I want the
camera but not if the auto focus is "broken" as Rob states that it
is. Comments from Mark III users?

Mark Morgan bought one to take on Safari in Africa and it's broken.

I assume that the jumping horse that follows the June 21 addendum isn't
intended to illustrate the problem. If that picture isn't in perfect focus,
I'd better make an appointment with my optometrist.

The horse's far ear is OoF. Horrible! s

The other comment about the rugger needing facial surgery was hilarious.
