Using a 4K TV as a monitor is like going from APS to FF (in away)

Odd thing. I still see the liquid crystal effect (screen distorts under local pressure) even on the LED TVs...

Why shouldn't you see it on LED TVs? After all, they are still liquid
crystal displays. It's just their source of illumination which is
different.
