Medium format increases size while DSLRs languish
"RichA" wrote in message ... Stuck like GLUE to an ancient format and sensors size. "I remember, cough, cough, when Leica first came out with the 35mm...." The Barnack? Was used to test movie film! You are comparing a "almost full-frame 40.4mm x 53.9mm 60.5 megapixel 8 bit back, 1 fps, studio camera to cameras that can be used in the field. |

Lots of people use cameras as heavy or heavier than the Mamiya 645AF (under 2 kg with 80mm lens; it's really not that much heavier than a D3 or 1D) in the field. It's heavier than I like, but the Pentax 6x7, which is about the same weight, is widely used by landscape types. -- David J. Littleboy Tokyo, Japan |
