Fuji buys Xerox. The king is dead

snip ...and even that is rapidly changing. For studio work there is now the Fujifilm GFX50S with MF sensor, and some very good glass. When it comes to AF-S/AF-C and tracking, the X-T2, and X-E3 are not far behind DSLR performance, and in some comparisons, not all, might even be considered better. True. But we'll still see the BWLs (big white lenses) at sporting events for a long time. The faster auto-focus and OVF are essential. |

Japan doesn't want a chinese or Korean company taking over Nikon. Aside from national pride, are there any other reasons a Chinese or Korean company shouldn't be buying Nikon? Do Nikon make any military items for instance? -- Alfred Molon Olympus E-series DSLRs and micro 4/3 forum at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/MyOlympus/ http://myolympus.org/ photo sharing site |

The faster auto-focus Is that really faster? Mirrorless cameras have a huge advantage because their sensors see the scene all the time, analyse it all the time and can focus much better on moving targets. Mirrored cameras instead are essentially blind all the time and have to rely on limited AF sensors. -- Alfred Molon Olympus E-series DSLRs and micro 4/3 forum at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/MyOlympus/ http://myolympus.org/ photo sharing site |
