B&H: PAD that shipping charge!

A 1 oz LCD protector: http://www.pbase.com/andersonrm/imag...16394/original They did that to me for the exact same product. It was the same cost as sending a ball head so I asked them to put the cover in ball head box and send it as one item... "Sorry, we can combine shipping costs but not do as you ask, the combined cost will be $29.95" Go figure that one! |

"Sorry, we can combine shipping costs but not do as you ask, the combined cost will be $29.95" Go figure that one! B&H service commitment has faded considerably in the last couple of years. Last year they fumbled an order of two items (combined total about $350) that didn't leave their shipping dock on time, as promised, and then never arrived. It cost me a job. A big one. When I complained, they offered to refund the price of the order, which I accepted. They refunded the price of the lesser of the two items, which was only about $10. When I complained about THAT, they told me I should have gotten an RA before sending the items back. When I pointed out that the items never arrived, they kicked the case upstairs and a guy named Aron spent the next week telling me it was MY fault for having chosen UPS and that THEY were not responsible for the items having never arrived, so they can't be held liable for the refunds. I about hit the ceiling on that one. It took some 90 days to finally get my refund from B&H, but they continued to insist that the matter was my fault. The items never did show up. I've done no business with B&H since. Shame, too. I bought my D300, D700, Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8, and Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 from another vendor. That's not a total to sneeze at. But, apparently, not enough to be of value to B&H. |
