Default photos to print: slides or negatives?

I always used Provia Fuji slides for my pictures as I never printed
them!
For the first time I'm going to make a professional work.
I have to make pictures of Achitecture (and people too).
As this pictures will be (maybe) printed some people told me not to
use slides but negative films because they have a better result in
printing and for theis better latitude.
I have been suggested Agfa Vista.
Do you have the same ides?
Thanks,
Carlo

If you have many images to be printed, then C41 film would be a more
economical way to get many images.

Talk to your lab about this. It is possible at some labs to get better
results from slides (transparency film). Check by having a small image
printed to check colour quality, then if it looks good, get a match
print at the large size.

If you are looking for a more saturated film, then that is one choice.
However, there are many, and even your main lab may suggest something
different.

Almost all my gallery exhibit pieces are printed from transparency
films. I find that the colour quality is better, and the final piece
ends up nicer. However, it really does depend on the lab, and some will
not do as good a job as others.

I rarely use negative films, unless many small prints are requested by
the client. With B/W, it is exactly the opposite, and negatives still
give great looking prints, especially true B/W.

Ciao!
