Canon EOS 350D and long exposures (over 30 seconds)
Hi.
I have a new Canon EOS 350D SLR and want to do some very long exposures with it (astro-photography). I notice that the longest settings time is 30 seconds. What methods are there for extending this exposure time to much larger times? Thanks |

Roll the dial one notch further and use the "bulb" mode...when you
click the shutter (and hold it down) you see a timer on the LCD screen that you can use to time the length of the exposure. You'll need a remote if you're using bulb mode though. Brian wrote: Hi. Yes, Manual mode is necessary for bulb exposures. I use the cable
remote which has a lock position to "hold" the shutter open during the bulb exposure. Brian Dirty Harry wrote: wrote in message oups.com... Hi. This is what I got. I don't know what it costs if you're in the UK.
http://www.canoncompanystore.com/epa...ail=2469A002AA Anything up to 30 seconds you don't need the remote but it can help prevent unnecesary camera movement when you press the shutter. You don't need anything else...besides the tripod of course. Brian |
