They're on the Canon Japan website. dPreview.com has a link under their
1Ds Mk II preview.

I must be doing something wrong... I just went again
through all 4 pages of dpreview preview, I can not
find it :-(

Stop: all back, there it is:

DATE 21/Sep/04, 0730 GMT: Sample images
Canon has just posted a small gallery of four sample images (click here)
http://www.canon.co.jp/Imaging/eos1d..._sample-e.html

Woohoo. More pixels. Whatever did we do before now.

Have you even looked at the sample images?

Yup. Boring as hell.

Couple hundred extra horizontal/vertical pixels doesn't help that in the
slightest.

Grump about there not being enough pixels.

Obviously the excitement created by Nikon had to be diverted a little before
Photokina.

At last, a DSLR to rival 35mm film for most applications - and I say
that having carefully studied all four of Canon's sample images.

And where are these images? I tried to find them. For example http://www.luminous-landscape.com/new/ just wrote "Canon has *not

Screw luminous-landscapes ... go to the source:

http://www.dpreview.com/articles/canoneos1dsmkii/ which leads to:

Cheers,
Alan

That's strange ... several web sites for independent
professional labs, and Fuji's own web site, say that the
Frontier likes 300 dpi TIFF files ... and *ONLY* 300 dpi
TIFF files.

Are you sure that "your lab" hasn't just found a way to
charge you more-and-more $$$ ?
