Default Velvia 100F discontinued?

Velvia 50 has been discontinued.

Has Velvia 100F also been discontinued?
There was a post on r.p.e.35mm saying it has,
but that's the first time I saw this rumor.

Where did you hear that? Fujifilm still has it listed on their
website with nothing said about it being discontinued.

Initially both of them were to be disconinued mid-2005 when Velvia 100
was to be available. But evidence from film expiry dates and continued
availability as new indicates that this is not quite the whole story.
However, that might have been trailing production to milk the market
some more or possibly problems with converting equipment over to making
Velvia 100. Hard to tell...

But it is quite believable that the *intention* is to consolidate
Velvia 50 and Velvia 100F into Velvia 100. Tough at the moment,
calumet appears to have plenty of both in stock.

Plenty in most of the Italian and German stores I frequent. I do feel
that Velvia 100 is the eventual replacement.
