Default Argos are worse than J*ss*p*

Hello folks.

I know that J*ss*p* is not generally help in high respect.
How about Argos? here's two lenses in their |Spring/Summer 20067 catalogue,
page 465:

Product code 570/0329 Canon zoom F/4.5-5.6 lens £139.79

and you find in the description that this is the EF90-300mm lens.

Product code 570/0336 Canon F/4.0-5.6 lens £149.99
This is a "light standard zoom lens. A convenient, general purpose lens".

Fine .. .but what focal length is it?

Makes J*ss*p* seem quite helpful in comparison, doesn't it?

Regards, Ian.

Perhaps, perhaps not. Argos is a box-moving catalogue shop,
no more, no less. They make no claims to the contrary, nor
do they specialise in anything.

Jessops on the other hand claims to be a specialist
photographic high-street retailer. Spot the difference in
the claims, compare and contrast the level of actual
service.

Please answer my questions.

Where do you buy a pair of shoe?
Your answer would a shoe shop.

Where do you buy a camera or a camera lens?
Naturally the answer would be a camera shop.

In my opinion, Argos is similar to a general store, sell everything and
anything.
If REALLY you are interested in a shop which care about cameras, and it's
related stuff, then you should go to a camera shop WITHOUT any hesitation.

Now, there are many of them all around.
Simply go to the following site and find them out the most competetive sto

I never buy shoes in a shoe shop. I always buy shoes in a department
store.

I've also found that most of the compact cameras in their catalogue
are excluded from their "no hassle return & refund" policy, and some
are not described with complete accuracy (battery types etc.).

I would be very reluctant to buy anything from Argos now.

True, but you can return it under the Sale of Goods act if it has been
described wrongly.
