Canon 20D
Does the Canon require a black frame to remove hot pixels on long exposures
are does it not have them. |

Yes, it has it, but you can turn it off. From dpreview...
"Control of Long exposure NR - The EOS 20D now allows you to disable long exposure noise reduction (dark frame subtraction) and Canon claims even better long exposure performance than the 10D." Personally, I wouldn't turn it off, unless you are in a hurry between images, and/or are going to do the processing yourself.. |

Canon should be totally ashamed of this (and some others too) HP got this basic and absolutely essential thing right in their little digicam that's cheap even for a P&S, so why can't Canon?!!
