Canon mirrorless system announcement due in June 2012?
Bruce wrote in
: It looks like the Canon mirrorless system will be announced next month. Two bodies and five lenses have been finalised for production so far, with more to come, but it isn't clear how many of these will be available at the outset. The sensor will be similar to the one on the Canon PowerShot G1 X, with a 4/3 aspect ratio and an overall size that is only very slightly larger than Micro Four Thirds. Obviously, the sensor size confirms the validity of the Micro Four Thirds format. However, Olympus and Panasonic must be apprehensive about what the new Canon system will do to their sales. Even though their sensor is inferior, at least in the G1X. |
