It must've been one helluva pic. Over 400 hits and not one person complaining
of the clouds being blown out.

Brings back memories. I have a similar shot, but with more clouds.

Speaking of Maui and the sun, Here is the sun plunging into the pacific.
Notice the higher clouds appear to be behind the sun. I can't explain. No
editing tricks. 1:1 crop. Staying on the west end of the island brought
incredible sunsets.
