Default Jobo Clear Silicon Sealant

Just heard from Omega Satter that they do not have Jobo Clear Silicon
Sealant and they do not have even a price for it : = ((

Is there a comparable sealer (in the US) that could be used instead?

Just copied the following details from the packing of the product
supplied by Jobo Germany:

Wacker Silicones
RTV-1 Silicone Rubber, transparent
Elastosil E41
Wacker Silicone Info Line: +800 6279 8000 (worldwide)

A quick web search returns the following:

It appears the smallest amount of Elastosil E41 available in the US is
a 55 gallon drum. Take it or leave it.

Bob (Jobo Services in US) recommends using GE Silicone sealer instead.
I wonder how hard would it be to open lift housing after GE Silicone
sealer hardens. Any comments?

Looks like the min quantity of Elastosil E41 you can order in US is a
55 gal drum...

Now, a Jobo serviceman suggested to use GE Silicone sealer instead -
any comments? He did say it might be harder to open after it hardens.

Odd. I've got a tube the size of a pack of toothpaste. Then again,
they've always told us everything is bigger in America.

It shouldn't be all that hard to cut along the seam with an X-Acto knife if you
had to open it up again.

I use GE sealer for a number of things. It doesn't cure
hard but rather into a rubbery state that can be peeled off.
I suspect it is identical to the stuff specified by JOBO in
Germany.
Its available in most hardware stores, auto supply
stores, and even some grocery stores.

Sounds the same. Just note that the Jobo silicone is a lot more liquid
than the stuff that's used e.g. for sealing purposes in places like
bathrooms.

Why not use the GE stuff that's sold for aquariums? It's intended to sit
in water all day long and last time I checked wasn't any more expensive.
