It's been predicted by some that high speed SLRs will have to give way
to high IQ video. "Pick a frame, any frame!"

Not really. What's the effective shutter speed for that sequence? Can
you use a flash? Is the use of a mechanical shutter possible, or will
the new sensor have an advanced global shutter that allows high
shutter speeds? Is there a penalty for DR loss when using the
e-shutter?

I've seen this coming for years, so not exactly news as it's been used
for years.


As said it has been predicted. In use for serious photography? It's not.
