Extension tube set for 300D?
Mark M wrote:
There is only ONE possible problem, and that could only be with that ONE lens (18-55). All other lenses will work with the tubes on the 300D (and I've not heard of any reason why the 18-55 wouldn't, though it's possible there's an issue with this unusual lens. An EF-S mount lens will not mate with an EF mount. It's to stop people putting an EF-S lens on a standard EF body and shaving a bit off the back of the lens when the mirror flips up - or possibly off its mounts, or both :-( I have heard of people performing surgery on the 18-55 to both make it fit the mount and not remove the mirror, although that was only on digital EOS bodies (10D, D60, D30) which have a smaller mirror than film bodies. Dunno if anyone has tried it for a 1D, 1DS or a film body. -- regards, dslr |

Mark M & dslr,
Thanks, that confirms what I've found on the 'net. John Cape Canaveral "dslr" wrote in message ... Mark M wrote: There is only ONE possible problem, and that could only be with that ONE lens (18-55).
