No, it has nothing to do with the labels which you buy, print, and apply. The
cheep cd's actually have the optical burnable dye on the bottom " adhesive " side of their label. If I don't want a picture on it, I just use a marker too. Michael..... What about the new "Lightscribe" drives that burn an image onto the top of
