Default B&H fire

Apparently there was a major fire at the B&H warehouse yesterday. If you
have anything on order, you might be affected.

Thankfully, only one injury, no deaths, no other harm except to 'stuff'.

If you catch this Henry, we're glad nobody was hurt.

Cheers,
Alan

Thank God there was no loss of life!

After reading some of the threads about this fire at RPE.35 and RPD, I
have to say.........
It is very unfortunate that some people were/are more concerned about
stuff than lives. Stuff perishes, but sometimes not as soon as the owner
thereof.

Indeed we are, those who are more concerned about stuff should be
ashamed, lest you suffer greater loss.

I am sorry for your loss.

Happy Sabbath and Maranatha.

Stuff can be replaced...lives can't.

Yeah - 'New for Old' is not one of the options offered on life insurance...

The fire does not appear to have interupted their operations too much, I got
an email today for an order I placed on Fri saying it was shipped. This
actually means it will go out sometime on Mon but that's no prob.

Steve,
Same here, I place 2 separate orders just before I learned
about the nearby fire which supposedly caused them to only suffer
"minor water damage in their warehouse".

They have responded back stating that both orders have been
filled. Maybe my Canon PowerShot A95 will come in a smoke scented
box. I have complete trust that if the box got even a little wet,
they would not ship it & simply add it to their insurance claim of
damages.

Rather pleased that they filled my orders so quickly, I was
prepared & willing to want a week or 2 if needed, so this is a
pleasant surprise.

Respectfully, DHB

PS As an E.T., I learned long ago that the key to reliability
is planned redundancy. Stated differently, I would hope they don't
have all of their eggs in 1 basket or in this case, 1 warehouse. A
single warehouse has many advantages but as they nearly found out, at
least 1 major disadvantage.

I just ordered some equipment via the telephone early Monday
afternoon. I was told it may ship Monday afternoon. From the
customer side there seems to have been no adverse affect of the fire.
