Default [SI] - Mandate - Multiple Exposures

Mostly from Helen Silverburg,

More than one exposure on a sensing surface. Film users can select
multiple exposures on a single frame and digital users can use
multiple flashes to simulate the effect, unless you've got that fancy
new Nikon.

Jim says that you get a double mandate period to do this especially
complex and thought provoking mandate. Mostly because he's not going
to be here. Moreover, Jim says that he will except two(2) entries from
each participant. No Photoshopping images together.

Due May 1, 2007

Helen's original concept, reworked by Jim because he's an SOB.

Still time to get in on:

Confused, bewildered, mentally infirm? I can't guarantee this will
help, but it might:

Keep Shoot(in)g,
Jim

Hmmmm....

I can't PS images together, and my camera can't do multiple exposures. And I
hate multiple-flash pics...

I'm out of this one.

FWIW, I think it said using Photoshop to conjoin the images was verboten
anyway.

That's a lot like saying, "You can't develop your photos in a dark room."

I was heavily armed and absent minded. You pay a high price for that in

That's what I meant; I know how, but it isn't allowed. Pretty restrictive
mandate.

Have you ever noticed 'Mandates" are formulated by the provider because they
think they can do something better than anyone else? Hell, if you can't use
Photoshop to merge two pictures, you just can't meet the mandate with a
digital camera and take the picture in any sort of average light. I'm out
of this one too!

Looks like Shootin's heading for the rocks again. And the trolls didn't have
anything to do with it!
Amazing.

Wouldn't it be ironic if the mandate called "Multiple Exposures"
didn't get more than 1 entry?

I've tried that multiple flash thing a few times on hummingbirds, but
the results weren't anything I'd care to show. I suppose I could get
Divot and Buster to run across the floor a few times while I strobed
them.

Using a digital camera for this is impossible... all you could do is take a
picture in the dark, set the camera to a long exposure, and fire a separate
flash unit (which lots of people don't have) a few times... you have 30 sec to
compose...

So you'd get multiple images of something - big deal!

This is a film only mandate - bye!

Sorry guys. I didn't know digital had no double exposure mode. I'm
brand new to digital so please bear with me. It was a suggestion, but
it can be changed. I just asked Jim to change the Mandate to
something people would have fun with.
