Default Fuji FinePix S7000

I have just seen the above camera in a sale catalogue for $AUS 847
that claims up to 12 megapixels. I assume the "up to" means not
optical resolution, as it would be with scanners?

How does this camera rate?

Thanks
Mike

Christmas Day, middle of summer, beautiful country.

Nothing better you can think of doing?

It is summer, and I am trying to find somewhere cool. I hate summer.
Maybe the southernmost point of Tasmania, the closest I can get to
Antarctica without leaving Australia. And Tasmaina is a very
photogenic place.

Thanks for the idea.
