Rebel Flash suggestions
I just acquired a Digital Rebel, while have 4 Canon Elan bodies and full
compliment of lenses, I was much dismayed that my 540EZ, 430EZ and 420 EZ would not function with the new digital body. I see that Vivitar and Sunpak both have *new* digital flashes on the market. Anyone know anything about these. I'm hoping not to spend $300+ on a flash and am really hoping to maintain all the functionality of the camera in a flash mode. Any suggestions? |

Sigma makes a flash called the 500DG Super (or something like that) that gives almost all the functionality of the Canon 550EX for a lot less money. I don't have one but have read good reports. |

The 420EX has a little less power, and lacks a couple of whistles and bells, but is a very good flash, for about $180. It is the basic equivalent of your 420EZ. -- Skip Middleton http://www.shadowcatcherimagery.com |
