After my bad experience with my old 40D this week, not to mention
Canon's lousy customer service, I've finally decided to get rid of all
my digital Canon junk and go back to shooting film exclusively. I
mean, everybody knows that even the best digital can't compare to some
good Reala or Velvia.
And who has the time to download pics and edit them all?
No more Photoshop! No more worries about which RAW converter is best!
No more expensive memory cards and readers!
I'm scrapping all of it.

No more Totally Digital D60!
No more 40D without a catchy name!
No more FAB 5D2!
I'm even junking the EOS-1V in favor of a shiny new Nikon F6.
Those "L" lenses? The "L" stands for "Lousy!"
Gimme that 58mm Noct Nikkor, baby!

-Annika ----- Totally Analog !!!

P.S. Noons, I love you and I apologize for any ill-feelings or
inconveniences I've caused you. I hope we can be best friends.

It's a choice that you seem glad to have made so more power to you! In
the end it's not the media rather the skill in using that medis that
counts.

Some people paint Oils, Others paint watercolors. It is a matter of
comfort with the media that gives the artist rise to perform.

To me this is, aside from the Canon flames which I totally disregard,
is a photographer that seems to be disenchanted with the digital
workflow.

That's fine. Personally I enjoy the workflow but then I loved being in
the darkroom too.

All of that is moot because it's what goes on in the viewfinder that
makes the photograph.

But hey, if you see something else here please enlighten me. I'll
listen.

OK, if you insist. I sent you an email last night, since your address looked
real; but I guess you didn't receive it.

Bret ("Annika") is an excellent digital photographer who has used Canon
equipment for years. He'll switch to Nikon when pigs fly. But every year he
sends an April Fool's message like this, and you fell for it. ;^)

Let's just say that "Bret ("Annika") is a digital photographer...",
probably more realistic and certainly less controversial.

I'm an anglophone and day/month/year has always seemed the most
logical way of expressing dates. I have never been able to
understand why you'd put month first.

Talking about distances, you don't say you drove 50 metres, 26
kilometres and 44 millimetres.

Talking about time even, you don't say the time is 53:11:24.

Keep up, 'merica
