We all should organize a photo newsgroup
"farts" get together, somewhere. All the people that
have posted on these groups for years. We would be shocked
I think!!!

Take care.

I respect your view, Frank, and with good luck perhaps one day I will be
able to see your prints to appreciate your assertion. I have a hunch that we
simply have very different tastes, and that's a good thing for each of us.
Mine has grown from the 'old days' when grain was a given, and edge-effects
(when one could get them) were a significant touch to apparent sharpness,
local contrast. I've simply become fond of it. Sorry I was in such a fowl
mood yesterday.

Best,
John

f you ever get to the Chicago area let me know. The truth be told I really don't
care what film you use. The only thing that's important is you get the results
you are looking for.

I just have issues with people that dismiss the T-grain film out of hand because
they are "different" then "conventional" films without even giving it a reasonable
chance. While it does have good exposure latitude it is fussy about processing and
I am convinced that most people that tried it once and didn't like it because of
to much or to little contrast simply didn't develop it properly.

Again the right film to use is the one that gives you the results you want.

I think it would be fun if we all got together for a weekend. With a couple
of exceptions I think we'd all get along better then we may think.
