I haven't really thought about it before, but this is one of those
perplexing questions that have never been discussed here before. Reason why
I ask which OS is embedded in Nikon and Canon DSLRs is reliability issues
and operator friendliness. My guess is Nikon uses an embedded form of MS
Windows since it's easy to use and doesn't require frequent firmware updates
while being compatible with the majority of hardware. As for Canon, they
must be using an embedded stripped down version of OS X since the menu is a
kludge and require almost monthly updates to fix the frequent lockups and
quirks of hardware incompatibility. This is the confusing part about Canon,
I'm not sure if they really do use OS X since this could also be a Linux
derivative. I'm just curious?

I still don't get it. How can you post this **** without laughing?

That's because you're too stupid to recognise sarcasm. The rod up your butt
has a rod up it's butt.

I thought it was quite funny. But thanks for your contribution.
Now I know several more things, including the rod's composition, and
that you're not just bullheaded. g
