Sorry, I'm not familliar with either of those cameras, but are they totally
motor driven? I have a Nikon FE and always found it required more force to
wind-on/rewind bulk loaded reusable cassettes. Something about the snap-on
caps requiring more room so the film slot is narrower.

Yes, totally motor driven.

Maybe try single use cassette?

These play up as well.

What kind of tape are you using? Other then that the only other issue I
can think of is the cannisters. Bulk loaded really isn't any different then
factory loaded.

Masking tape, taped on very firmly.

I've used bulk loaded cassettes with my Canon A2E and EOS 3 with no problem.

Actually I take that back. I had a problem once when I tried to load to much
film in a cassette once and another time I left a plastic cassette loaded in my
camera and left the camera in my car for a couple of hot days. The head softened
the plastic and when I got to the end of the roll the camera had a hard time
rewinding the film all the way. In both cases I put the blame for the problem on
myself.

I bulk load with three autofocus Nikon bodies (F50, F90, F100) without
difficulty. Some possibilities:

- are you overloading the cartridges? Some manual cameras will take
extra-long rolls (as high as 45 or so exposures). Autofocus cameras are
much fussier.

No, 36 ish max.

I believe that 24 exposure film is thicker than 36 exposure film. Is
it possible that you are using 24 exposure bulk stock?
