Did you here about the British spelling bee champion, who came to
America. She lost in the first round when she misspelled auspice?

I expect someone decided that a rusting old grey warship looked rather
less than ideal in the Thames foreground. Huffington post at least
includes a picture of the thing so you can make your own mind up.

I am inclined to think that they might have a point. A similar near
derelict rusting old ship used to grace the quayside at Newcastle (and I
would have airbrushed that monstrosity out without a second thought).

I wonder what Rich makes of the Olympic 2012 posters?
With any luck these may make his head explode :-)

And it is nowhere near as funny a story as the case of Birmingham City
Council that produced a glossy colour brochure with a photo of the
*WRONG* Birmingham skyline on the front (downloaded from the internet).

OK! Then who can tell me when "such fun" or "so much fun" changed to "so fun"?

Priceless!

Back to the cloning out of the ship: of course some will be outraged!
But could it not have been just an error by an overzealous art director
to make the Thames look friendlier and waaaaay blue. He/she certainly
lightened the buildings, too, and added more blue there.
