nope. i said the graphics engine uses pdf internally. that means all
text and shapes and whatever else are rendered in pdf, even if it's a
command line tool with no gui whatsoever.

it absolutely is a native format and for the reason i gave, because the
graphics engine is based on pdf.

that is not at all the same as saying the graphic interface was derived
from pdf. the interface has nothing to do with this.

I pointed out that by that logic the Mac graphic interface was derived
from PDF which was derived from PostScript and therefore Macs run
native PostScript.
