Default Inexpensive Manual SLR's

Are there inexpensive manual SLR's(off-brands are alright)out there that
will function tolerably? I am easy to please, since I am a happy Zenit
owner.

Thanks,

Walter

What's NOT wrong with zenit?

unreliable, 65% viewfinder coverage, big&heavy, lightleaking, limited
shutter speeds... and many, many more....

Try to find something he http://www.butkus.org/chinon/index.html

These cameras are well built, have most often P/K (pentax) bayonet
mount, so lenses wouldn't be a problem. The cost can be 20-50euro, even
with 50/1.4 on ebay.de. I've had Cosina CS-3 before and its viewfinder
was brighter and bigger than any of my pentaxes now (K2&MEsuper)

cheers, alkos - previous zenit ET & XP owner

a Ricoh XR. Uses Pentax lenses, titanium shutter, Man/auto, motor, plus
it's nice and heavy, and all mechanical.
