Default Mavica puzzle

When I put a floppy from my Mavica 100 into my PC, I click "My
Documents" then choose the A: drive. Normally, a list of jpeg icons
shows up.

During the past couple days, when I go through the same process, along
with the usual jpeg icons, Notepad icons appear.

If the jpeg icon is labeled Mvc-010, the Notepad icon is labeled
Mvc-010s.

I call it a Notepad icon because if I right click that icon, it opens
Notepad. There are several lines of a mixture of meaningless letters and
symbols.

Why are these annoying Notepad icons showing up? How can I prevent it?
