It would be more correct to say that pros take care not to get the lenses
dirty in the first place, and clean them only if they are dirty.

Pros, however, take them where the photos are, without much regard to
the equipment risk.

One liner declarations are always useless.

Pros don't obsess the way most amateurs do.

-Amateurs take a certain pride in their equipment and try to keep it
pristine. Many believe it impacts their images when it doesn't most of
the time.

-Pros don't waste time on things that don't impair image quality.

Dust on a lens does pretty much nothing to image quality except when
direct light hits it. In that case contrast suffers and there is a risk
of flare.

A good filter has far less effect on image quality than a dirty lens,

Another point is that a filter's front glass surface is farther
forward than the front element of the lens, so it is less protected
from the sun by the lens hood, and more susceptible to flare.

I don't know why anyone bothers to participate in "professionals do" or
"professionals don't" threads. Professionals do whatever the job
requires. That's the bottom line.

Professionals earn money with what they do. Amateurs don't.

professionals present the best they can without post processing. Hence
clean sensors and keep lenses clean. Equipment is abused far more often
and replaced.
