Aren't the data rates over WiFi so slow as to make that completely impractical??? ~50 mbits/sec is 6+ mb/second, which is nearly as fast as a Lexar 80x in a 1Ds Mk II. Sure, you'd have to be fairly close and not have much interference to actually get that, but it would be a good start. steve |

Even with protocol overhead and connection infelicities, that's a few seconds per raw file at worst. David J. Littleboy Tokyo, Japan |

Why not use the Wi-Pics kit? www.photographicgroup.co.uk It is bit heavy duty - costs more than the D70 of course - but it does enable you to shoot direct to computer, store on a 20Gb hard disk belt pack or two banked CF cards. I've studied in action and published one single page, but fairly detailed, report on the set up. It works. David |

David The Wi-Pics site is: http://www.wi-pics.com/ Wireless network bandwidth is not an issue as it buffers the images and transmits them as the network is available. John |
