Default Pushing Provia F100??

Hi folks,

Having just accidentally ordered 20 rolls of Provia 100F instead of Provia
400 (what was I drinking last night???), the next obvious question is - can
it be pushed a couple of stops?

Some googling has revealed some positive feedback on the matter and so I
thought it prudent to throw the question at this esteemed bunch of experts!
:-)

I'm wondering how Provia 100F pushed 2 stops compares with Provia 400F. Any
comments would be gratefully received.

Regards,
Dave E (Sydney)
PS. This is attempt 2 - the first didn't appear on my news server -
apologies if this is a duplication. :-)

Yes. Manufacturer claims 2 stops. Minor color shifts.

The problem is making sure your local processor actually pushes it 2
stops. (I've had some problems in this respect with other E-6).

Also, you need to select an exposure index v. the intended push.
Typicaly not reciprocal under-exp for a given push... the data sheet
that I have does not give corresponding EI's for a given push.

For a 2 stop push, I would EI @ 320, not 400.

Cheers,
Alan
