I Hope That Canon Watched Today's Apple Event
Canon is overdue to get iOS right. With the gorgeous big screen of the
iPad Pro and its powerful 64-bit processor, the iPad Pro is crying out for an elegant app from Canon that offers a combination of functionality of Digital Photo Professional and EOS Utility. A serious app, not a half-hearted effort just so they can claim that Canon cameras are supported in iOS. If I were designing the app it would allow the user to choose between WiFi *or* wire-tethered camera control. The user would also be able to choose between auto-download of the CR2 files to the iPad or a quick preview, with a tap to download the CR2. The app would also integrate with Adobe's iOS software. I suppose anyone who thinks about this could come up with dozens of ideas for features. I hope that Canon does the same. -- I agree with almost everything that you have said and almost everything that you will say in your entire life. usenet *at* davidillig dawt cawm |

For iOS, all of those developers are going to left in the wake of Adobe's Mobile Apps, especially once the iPad Pro is available and meets the promise of today's keynote presentation. http://www.adobe.com/products/mix.html -- Regards, Savageduck |

The Adobe Mobile apps are iOS and not exclusive to the iPad Pro. true, but the main attraction is using the stylus with it, and on a larger display. |
