I know that the seasons we are having now are very different from when I
was younger. Summer used to be from December to February. Now it's from
November to April.
===============================

I do think that is very much a possibility.
Maybe he was born in December. However December 25th is a day of
celebration of a false pagan god.

That is the view of the Christian fundamentalist minority, a.k.a. Jehova's
Witnesses. Are you one of them, Cody?

While Christmas may have become a commercialised free-for-all, the message
is still very much alive. That is why we hear Christmas Carols everywhere
and go to Nativity concerts at children's schools at this time of year.

The giving of gifts is symbolic of the conferring of gifts on the baby
Jesus by the Magi and I suppose to some degree it is also symbolic of the
Lord's gift (of his only son) to mankind.

Would you prefer it if no goodwill prevailed over Christmas time and that
we just went along with our lives with scant regard to the purpose of
celebrating such a momentous day as the birth of Jesus?

Every Christian I know celebrates the birth of Jesus on 25 December every
year. What pagan god are you on about?

That's funny, I've never heard of false pagans before.

To others its a vertical manifestation of a horizontal desire.

And to others still it is complete lunacy.

It happened in the early 1300's when the Pagans divided into the pagans, The
Pagans and the false pagans. The Idolatrous Pagans and the Neo-Nazi Pagans
came later.

I am not affiliated in any way with the church that calls itself
Jehovah's Witnesses, I just know a little bit about the history of
holidays.
