Sigma EX AF 14 f 2.8 D HSM lens

For Sale:

3 month old Sigma EX AF 14 mm f 2.8 D HSM lens for Nikon D mount.

Lens in excellent shape forgiving small nick in front element that is off to
the side and does not affect picture quality. Includes all original
materials, including box, soft case with belt loop, hood/lens cover, and
filter template.

Is new EX "HSM" (hypersonic motor) version. Works great on D1 (h) x) and
provides the equivalent of a 21 mm view on a film camera. On a film camera
the field of view is positively startling. Lens is rectilinear so there is
no extreme bending of lines, and picture fills entire frame. I've found the
autofocus fast and accurate, and the results on both digital and film to be
tack sharp. Very well built, with mostly metal construction.

Reason of sale is that I have found it a little too wide for day to day news
work and I've switched to an 18 mm lens instead. Now it has just become too
much of a "specialty" lens for me to keep it in my bag.
