Tell me: who starts to say '****' first?
If you say it once, certainly you can expect someone else says that
word millions times to you.

Fair deal.

Oh Brother!!!!!!

Hi,

I wanna give slid films a try during my photography study. Here are
some of my questions:

1. Which equipment(s) do I have to buy so I can view slids? Of course
cheaper is better.

2 ways you can view slides, one is to purchase a slide viewer that
basically projects the image onto a 3 inch square (or so) screen for
personal viewing. The other is a projector. Try Ebay for one of these,
new ones cost 3 - 4 times as much as a decent used one.. Older kodak
ektamatics are nice given the right lenses. Many others as well. Of
course, there's always the holding the slide up to the light but you
have to squint to see most of the detail.

2. I heard that some shops offer print from slid. Where can I find
them? What's the normal price?

Some do, some don't. You may have to send them out. I think even the 1
hour photo places can send them out for you. Figure on paying about $1
per print. It isn't cheap..

3. Could anyone tell me the working process from slid to the print
picture in magazines? Is it possible for non-pros to do this?

Same way they print photos from other types of films (or digital).

4. For average amatures, if they have problems to get the print out of
slids? Why do we need to use it? 'cause how can you find out the
exposure is right? And how can you enjoy your work?

You enjoy your work in viewing the slides. The images, imo, far exceed
any prints I've ever seen.

Get yourself a roll of fuji Provia 100F and try it out for yourself.
It's not that expensive to expose and process a roll of slide film.

Thanks a lot!
