This is why some high-end New York studios would build and dress the
set, light it, meter, set up the camera, shoot some polaroids
adjusting various things, and then eventually shoot some real chromes,
and send them out to the lab (in NYC you could get 1-hour chrome
turnaround on 4x5s). They felt there was no substitute for the
*actual* film/sensor that was going to take the final actual picture.

Except you're not using the *actual* film that you're going to be
shooting in 'good' on when you're doing polaroid shots.

Geeze, didn't you even finish reading the paragraph? After using
their meters, and then using Polaroid, *then* they shot test 4x5s of
the actual film.

people aren't going to stop a shoot and wait more than an hour to get their
4x5 'actual' test back.
