And, after all, they would only be able to get away with it a few times, and the people who know about wolves would be able to figure it out eventually......So I don't think it's really much of a problem.... it is not too rare to find people attempting to maximise their payments from the government! (and I can't think who else would pay for a "wolf ravaged" carcass) Bruce Graham (from a less trusting branch of the Graham family tree) You may be right, but the ranchers I have known are a different breed of cat than the people standing in line at your average, "dole" office. To them, it's not really the financial loss of an occasional cow to the wolves that matters. It's the principal of the thing. The idea that they are not allowed to protect their herd by law. As soon as the government says they will make it good, they stop gunning for the wolves......... By the way, does any of your family tree come from Bristol Tennessee? |

By the way, does any of your family tree come from Bristol Tennessee? Hi William No, I'm from the real deep south... My grandfather, William Graham, migrated from Hawick Scotland in 1910 to Melbourne Australia to run a local knitting mill. He was an expert on those early programmable machines. I'm still here, but I have two daughters, no sons, so that ends that. Bruce Graham |
