Digital photos to CD

Hello,

If I have my digital photos developed to a CD while in England is the
format the same as in USA?

On a CD a JPG is a JPG. Regions refer to DVD only.

What is it in the US? Here you get them on a bog standard CD, usually
including a viewer program and usually in hi and lo res jpg format.

Asda (Walmart) are currently using Fuji equipment and charging £5 for a
CD containing 50 images.

Yes, but in Wales you'll they're saved as separate copies in Welsh and
English.

Point of information: England is a country which is part of the nation known
as the United Kingdom which comprises also Wales, Scotland and Northern
Ireland. The UK is also known as Great Britain (the Great being a
geographical rather than bombastic adjective).

I'm from the bit known as Wales :-)

If it's not too much extra baggage why not bring over a laptop, then you can
copy your pics onto CDs (or possibly DVDs) when you want rather than hunting
around for a suitable shop in the middle of nowhere? (We don't have as much
nowhere over here as you do in the good ole US of A, but our nowhere has
just as much middle :-) Even if you buy one to bring over you may well get
most or all of the price back by selling it here before you return as the
price of electronics here tends match the dollar price (i.e. £x here, $x in
the US).
