Theft
This is incredible:
https://petapixel.com/2021/02/07/pho...-robbed-while- stuck-in-sf-traffic-lose-7000-in-camera-gear/ robbery in plain daylight on a busy street. But even more amazing are those comments at the bottom of the article (lots of people wishing the thieves had been shot). -- Alfred Molon Olympus 4/3 and micro 4/3 cameras forum at https://groups.io/g/myolympus https://myolympus.org/ photo sharing site |

Glass back cars suck for such... Wishing thieves had been shot is a national prayer in the US. But even more amazing are those comments at the bottom of the article (lots of people wishing the thieves had been shot). San Francisco has a bad reputation for car robbery, usually from parked cars with valuables visible. The rule of thumb in SF is not to leave any valuables, hidden, or visible in a parked car. They will smash a window and take whatever they can find. A few years ago, a U.S. Bureau of Land Management Ranger had left his handgun hidden in his locked vehicle. The window was smashed, his handgun was stolen, and a few weeks later a 32 year old woman, Kate Steinle was shot and killed on a pier at the SF Embarcadero. Some of the more jaded folks have taken to leaving their empty parked cars unlocked and with windows down. It seems the smash& grab thieves will break a window without checking to see if the vehicle is unlocked. In this case it seems the photographers were seen at a shoot, their equipment was noted. They were then followed, and when the opportunity arose the thieves struck and grabbed the bag. Unless that black Honda was also stolen they have a pretty good record of the plate; California “B5TY876”. -- Regards, Savageduck |

I did say BMW was his claim several years ago, and that was long before he became “Arlen”. So who knows... he hasn't been posting lately, so perhaps the chp caught up with him. or the riaa/mpaa. Perhaps C-19, or a mudslide. -- Regards, Savageduck |
